Horus Heresy Massacre – Best Painted Single Miniature

Our recent Horus Heresy Massacre event brought with it a large number of beautifully painted models. Most of which were Primarchs and as you shall see in this post all of our nominations ended up being Primarchs. Read on to see the Best Painted Single Miniature which is then followed by a gallery of the other nominees.

1st Place – Horus Lupercal – Olly Mew

Horus Lupercal

 LUPERCAL! LUPERCAL! LUPERCAL!

The bad man himself was our almost unanimous winner. There were a few who were not easily swayed by the Warmaster but when the votes were counted the winner was clear. Although painted for his friend Paul who was using Horus in his Sons of Horus army, Paul was gracious enough to let us know who the award should go to.

Horus Heresy Best Painted Single Miniature Conclusion

I trust that our readers will agree that these are some great models. Thanks again to all of the nominees for allowing us to steal their miniatures for a short time to get the pictures for this post. Another thanks to Sarah our photographer for the day who took these lovely photos.

We shall be posting to show off armies that were competing for the Best Painted Army award very soon, so keep an eye out.

Such lovely mini’s! Thanks for sharing! Hard choices there. Horus is just a lovely sculpted mini. When he gets a nice paintjob…it’s just wow. I’d have trouble picking between him and Mortarion thought. Both are really well painted.

The minis looked even better in person, it was certainly a hard decision. I do enjoy how 30k allows you to have some absolute stunning centrepiece models in your army. Which reminds me, I do have an Alpha Legion force kicking around somewhere…
